Review of Sunrise (1985) by Ricky C — 24 May 2011
A true classic ! There's even a twist at the end. (but guessable in our time period) And I laughed a lot. There are some scenes that are really unexpectedly funny such as drunken piggy and headless statue scenes.
The acting performances are quite original. I mean 20's are the year of Chaplin! But unlike their colleagues in the same period, not a chaplinesque scene performed by the cast ! And finaly the Nietzsche-esque message from the movie; ''How could you rise anew if you have not first become ashes!''.
