Review of Sunrise (1985) by Kem W — 27 Mar 2013
Just a stunningly beautiful film. The cinematography must have been state of the art for 1927. The lyrical depiction of a man and his wife is beautifully portrayed by O'Brien and Gaynor. People today will likely turn up their noses at the B&W, no sound, and sometimes exaggerated acting.
But this is simply a great film, one that must be one of the finest of the silent era. Highly recommended. A must see for film buffs.
