I had a difficult time empathizing with Sutter, the main character. I felt bad for his problems but nevertheless, I just didn't like the guy. Consequently, this was not a film that I liked or cared about.
Woodley is fine as the bedrock girlfriend, though under-used. There was little in the story I found particularly interesting. 'Now' is not a teen romance but a serious drama. (And I hated the fact that all the "teens" in this movie - save Woodley perhaps - looked, moved, and acted like the 20-something adults the actors are.
) Not recommended.
