Review of Summer Rental (1985) by Dave H — 27 Jun 2007
This comedic John Candy vehicle tells the story of a burnt-out air traffic controller who takes his family on a vacation and learns how to sail. In so doing, he finds himself again. Ordinarily, I might not rate this film so high, but I have given it five stars for purely personal reasons.
This flick was first shown to me by my now-deceased grandfather and always brings to mind great memories of a very happy day for me.
