Review of Summer Palace (2006) by Kristen B — 20 Jun 2008
I was not expecting this to be what it was- a "love" story about a super-depressed girl who is ridiculous to the point of aggrivation, and a looooot of sex. Hello. I thought it was going to be more about Tienanmen Sq., but it turns out it was only a small part. The part with it was the best scene in the movie, and after that, it went somewhat downhill.
The depiction of confusing relationships was realistic and relatable, but bleak.
If you don't mind getting depressed for an evening, watch this.
