Review of Summer of Sam (1999) by Daniel S — 14 Apr 2007
I was really impressed by this movie when I finally got to see it. I have it on both VHS and DVD. I was surprised to find out that Spike Lee directed it, since he really sucks. This movie catches a frame in time from several points of view, which keeps you entertained the whole way through.
A couple of the stars were breaking out around the time of this movie, and all of them did a superb job. Can't get tired of this movie. Very raw and comical at times. The movie doesn't really focus on the most famous Jewish serial killer, David Berkowitz, but how it affected the people around it.
Very cool concept and great cinematography.
