Review of Summer of Sam (1999) by Will A — 18 Jul 2007
I dug it. It really created a world, a "slice of life"...I could feel the heat, terror, anxieties of the city...even more so in this joint than "Do the Right Thing" actually. Surprisingly good.
And I dunno about you but Leguizamo surprised the sh*t outta me with his performance. Whoa killa. Oh and one last thing, if this was directed by Martin Scorsese no one would have a problem with it. I hate how all the critics are acting like Lee should stick to "black" films or something.
Yeah I said it.
