Review of Summer of 84 (2018) by Gman H — 24 Aug 2018
This is a wonderful film, has a Stranger Thing 80s feel, and Bananarama's Cruel Summer playing in the start really works! Basically a group of friends think a Police man across the way is responsible for the disappearance of a number of children in different towns and set out to prove this. Problem is that no one believes them! From then on things start to go horribly wrong.
The acting is superb, and it's an interesting way to almost mask the early part of the film as a light childrens summer adventure before the horror kicks in. Never a dull moment. Just fantastic from start to finish.
