Review of Sully (2016) by Theapplegnome — 04 Jan 2017
A great biography of the struggles of being in the centre of attention. It's a flashy and realistic adoption of the famous event, that might lack a deeper characteristic inside -- but the film breaks multiple barriers with the stunning accident.
All thanks to Tom Hanks and his performance as 'Sully'. We feel his emotional fight -- but the film still lack a greater background to characters and more development. The film just 'is', it needs to 'become' something more than a one man's fight.
It's not a film for everybody, because the story can be very slow for some -- but a wow for the aviator (myself).
