Review of Sullivan's Travels (1941) by Danny M — 20 Jun 2007
Wonderful film in every respect. Veronica Lake is so charming and alluring.
There's a great moment when Sullivan (played by the brilliant Joel McGrea) is standing in tattered clothes and a policeman asks, 'What are you doing in those clothes?'.
The fantastically delivered response is, 'I've just paid my income tax.'.
