A mediocre movie -- the extra half star is for cultural pastiche Miike had successfully meld into a coherent visual package. But having the japanese actors perform in English detracted from their performances, and made the flick hard to watch in some stretches.
Yes, even Yoshino Kimura, who speaks eigo fairly fluently ended up sounding weird.
