Review of Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) by Kit K — 13 Nov 2009
A bit of a disappointment from Takeshi Miike. There really wasn't much of a story. It's this town that has a treasure and the two warring gangs that want it. It's a revisionist western with Japenese as the westerners.
Quentin Tarantino appears in a small role. Overall disappointing despite some cool sequences. Ultimately its a story with no one to root for and that causes a certain lack of investment in the audience toward the film.
