Review of Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) by Jerry C — 02 Apr 2010
The first 5 mins of this movie left me confused with bad ingrish and tarantinos bad acting but then it cut to the movie . A high action great visual macronie weaston that was clever and self aware in a good way . with a sprit of the story of the war of the roses (red vs white) and loads of clasic western refroences it was funny and interesting.
The problem I did have with this is down to me as much as the movie is that I strugled with understanding the ingrish ended up using the subtitles but it wasnt really a problem and I did get used to it near the end of the movie.
With samuri legend and tales of the godess of battle made it feel like what it was surpost to be .The reverse of the origens of spagetie weastons with them copying the visual stile of akria korisawa .
Over all a must watch for a totaly origanal movie but leave you mind open to the experiance as its odd to get in to .
Quote of the movie by tarantino " ow Akira how lovely that name sounds m, well I guess I will always be a anime otaku at hart" showing its not to serious.
