Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Jon B — 26 Mar 2017
NO.. the DC Film fanboys need to calm down. As a huge DC fan myself this movie was a disaster. With horrible villain doing it's dancing thing and the whole marketing BS this movie went through they pretty much just slapped their dipsticks in our faces and laughed as we fell for it all.
Obviously being about the Suicide Squad it's not going to be around the Joker and Harley. But when you build up a ton of hype centered around them we definitely expect more than 12 minutes of it and texting nonsense.
With the first trailer so dark and promising they just go into a spiral of disappointment and you're left feeling like you aren't really sure what was going on as that waste so much awesome talent.
Also being said this movie should have been dark and should have been an R movie. I haven't not met anyone who legitimately liked this movie.. when asked each and every one was "ehh" or "it was alright" stop softening up movies for spoiled kids and ruining great stories with your ultimate greed.
This movie had so much potential for DC but given to a director who can shell out quality content but then placing major restraints on him?? Some upper level studio executives should be fired over this.
