Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Theoneandonlyray R — 23 Nov 2017
Solid 4/5 stars, in my opinion, with a great cast. I've seen a lot of movies, and the way I tend to rate them is by whether or not they grab and keep my attention throughout (not easy to do, since I have ADHD).
This movie held my attention every bit of the way - something unique that every movie doesn't have. The soundtrack is also awesome and blends modern day music with some in the past, which means a lot to me (movies these days don't seem to focus enough on the sound aspect of it, just the visuals).
While it's not as perfect and polished as I had hoped, it definitely worth watching, even if you don't like super heroes that much (as I really don't). I also like the fact that they tried to make it seem real (with scientists trapping the witch's heart to control her, even though I usually think supernatural stuff is lame.
To those who say movies are supposed to be fake, whatever - go watch Power Rangers or something obviously fake, as you won't like it). I also think this was a great introduction to the Joker and Harley Quinn, but like I said, I'm not really a comic fan.
I honestly just think the main storyline involving the supernatural witch was odd - they should've made it non-supernatural (superheroes are already supernatural enough, even though I know she is one of the super heroes/villans).
