The Pros:

The Cons:

Villain.

Plot.

Pacing.

Character development.

Editing.

Dialogue.

Critics will tell you it is a mess, with a poorly conceived plot, thinly written characters, and elements that flat out make no sense. Yet as Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn will tell you: "what a ride!".

For it is true that the movie is a confusing stew of a thing with a glitzy soundtrack to help the action move along. At times you wonder "why?", "how?" and my personal favorite, "who?". For you will be doing a lot of "who??" in this film, anytime a new character appears or something happens because it's all incredibly maddening. I heard a rumor circulating online that David Ayer, the director, penned the script in 6 weeks. This, is evident. Some of the lines in the film are just so...raw. Where there could be a witty comeback is instead an odd retort, very cliche and underwhelming. To say that a single character saves this film would be an understatement. A single character MAKES this film. And that is Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn. It is safe to say that the other characters in this film are rather uninteresting in how they were portrayed, with the exception of Will Smith's Deadshot and Jared Leto's Joker (though he isn't really in the film). But Margot Robbie is absolutely fascinating! Her quips, her facial expressions, her acting is a joy to watch.
