Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Aysha P — 03 Feb 2017
Good movie, I'd definitely watch it again but there are some issues. There was more violence than plot. If more suspense developed throughout the movie it probably would have been better. I would have liked to get to know more about the characters, about who they really are rather than snippets of a profile.
From reading the comics, I know that there's more to them all than what the profiles on the movie tell us. I enjoyed the dark humor in this movie. The special effects were great (apart from enchantress, she was poorly done towards the end).
I would have enjoyed seeing more of The Joker, because we didn't really get to see Jared Leto's full potential during his less than 10 minutes of screen time. The best parts of the trailer weren't even included in the movie, which I found quite disappointing but I still think it was a good movie and Margot Robbie definitely saved it from a 1 star rating.
