Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Brandon W — 27 Apr 2017
Heath ledger left a mark on cinema forever with his Christopher Nolan joker. I knew no one could ever surpass him, not even Jared Leto. I was of course right. Jared Leto's joker was great, but not oscar winning.
I think there should been more of him in the film. I loved this movie despite the bad ratings. Learning the "backstage dilemma" of this film made me feel sorry for it. If they had bumped the film back a year, they could have really made it perfect for everyone and not just me.
There could have been more character arc, but we will skip over that since they had pretty much no time to make it. The villain was disposable though. Cara Delevingne had a good performance but nothing to really go on.
She needed a motive or something to make the movie. And the whole el diablo thing was a little bs. I still stand by my rating and hope they make a joker or Harley Quinn movie sometime in the future. Harley will kick some ass in her own feature length film with kortana! I liked this movie and I hope you got as much enjoyment out of it as I have.
