Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Zahraa B — 15 Jun 2017
This film was pretty good. I understand what people are saying about this film. I see where they stand. I just don't agree with it. I think that this film was a fun film to watch. Also, it's a different take on comic books. It's not all about superheroes saving the day. The cast did really well even with all the pressure from fans. It's a pretty entertaining film. The soundtrack is also a mixed bag of great tunes. The film is a little choppy, but not to much where it could ruin the film. This film has a couple of flaws, but overall I enjoyed it.
Rating: 6.2/10.
Extended Cut (6.5/10).
The extended cut actually adds to the film. I prefer this cut. It doesn't destroy the film more like Batman V Superman's extended cut did. It adds some more Joker. It shows more of the abusive love relationship that him and Harley are in. Way more then the Original Cut. It also has some more Harley Quinn storyline. The scene with her messing with some of the squads' minds is a nice touch. Also this cut has more Boomerang. My personal favorite character. It has some more of him cracking jokes and being his smart allick self. This cut doesn't have anymore Slipknot, but who cares? He was everyone's least favorite character anyway. All in all, this cut of the film is superior to the original. Definitely check out this cut if you can.
Extended Cut Rating: 6.5/10.
