Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Sandborn — 09 Aug 2016
This movie is messy, choppy and illogical, but it's still good! The cast is likable and I really enjoyed Robbie as Harley Quinn; and I may be in the minority here, but I really, really liked Delevingne as Enchantress!!! What I didn't like was the music in the first hour was so over-powering. It became too much of a distraction even eclipsing some of the dialogue. And like I said, the choppiness of the movie becomes equally annoying. It goes back and forth from present to flashbacks as well as flashing descriptions of characters that go by so quickly, you don't have a chance to read them all. It's because of these faults I can't give the movie a 7.
Still with all its faults, there's enough action to satisfy, and Leto as the Joker is very entertaining. He may not have a lot of screen time but he has enough screen time to make the character work. Leto and Robbie have great chemistry together.
