Review of Suicide Club (2001) by Jon C — 27 Dec 2007
Everyone NEEDS to see this movie right now! A bloody good time, but also a fucking weird and strange as hell movie. Not very much is actually explained but I guess it's the type of movie where you need to come up with your own interpretation of the meaning to it.
The opening scene will be enough to pull you in...(54 high school girls hold hands and jump onto the train tracks as a subway train approaches and they are all crushed and torn apart!) The movie is actually a satire on "disconnection" with one's life and being consumed with work, technology, celebrities, etc.
Lots of imagery and metaphors throughout. So it's definitely a great movie visually and intellectually! Check it out!
