Review of Suicide Club (2001) by Adriano B — 18 Dec 2011
A satire-horror thriller with waves of humour of the darkest nature: people die, blame society. Mesmerizing flick, and genuinely scary and disturbing, but, plotwise, disarming and morally unconclusive, ending with a big "So what?" The very similar Paranoia Agent of Satoshi Kon ( rip) used a similar approach, but, in the end, persecuted the "culprit".
That's braver, to take responsibility of one's point of view; otherwise, for a movie, it's a suicide.
