Review of Sugar Town (1999) by Jennifer S — 14 Dec 2010
This film is so much fun! Although the situations may be exaggerated (or are they?), I appreciate the musicians' and actors' willingness to take part in a film that is non-specifically poking fun at them -- playfully & respectfully.
The acting is terrible (and I wonder if this is somewhat intentional), which makes it all the more enjoyable. If the performances were spot-on, I truly think the film would fall flat. Beverly D'Angelo's and Michael Des Barres' characters are my favorites.
