Review of Sugar (2010) by Chris E — 18 Sep 2009
Im a huge baseball fanatic and I love to see a good baseball flick whenever there is one. This one does not fall short all of being a good baseball film. The story is very original and shows a different side of baseball and thats the development of young Carribean players and their struggles to not only make it to the big leagues but just to be signed and play in rookie ball.
The film also focuses on the diversity and struggles that people from foreign countries face on trying to make it in the U.S. and achieve their dreams to have a better life. Its a feel good story but people looking for another funny baseball flick beware as this is one of the more serious ones out there.
A must see for all true baseball fans out there.
