A very tender and sweet film. There are many sports films out there - especially about baseball BUT this film felt very fresh and exciting. I appreciate that this film tells an untold story. While I found the editing a bit spastic at times, the filmmaking is still captivating and ultimately a pleasing experience.
I found Boden & Fleck's last film "Half Nelson" to be a more complex, poignant film but this one is definitely worth watching.
