Review of Sugar (2008) by Greg C — 21 May 2011
"Sugar" will throw you for a curve because its far more than about a kid who can pitch. Sugar Santos is the embodiment of the American dream whether he accomplishes his personal dreams or not.
Sugar is sacrifice, intensity, and ambition, but in the end shows its all about the raw pleasure of the game (of baseball) and life. It's a film that means speaks to those who strive for the American dream using the medium of America's past time.
