Review of Suffragette (2015) by Gary A — 08 Nov 2015
Standout performances in the exceptionally informative and yet "scary" film outlining the Suffragette movement in 1912 England. Carey Mulligan stars as a woman due to circumstances joins the movement and makes an everlasting impact.
Scary in the sense of how women were and in many cases still today are treated. For instance women in Switzerland didn't get the right to vote until 1971. I, for one, have always thought the female as the stronger sex and this film reinforces that belief.
