Review of Suffragette (2015) by Pj E — 15 Nov 2015
On paper it had everything. A great distributer, period Oscar bait, a great narrative. But it all falls apart from sloppy execution and paint by numbers storytelling. What could have been an interesting story about the suffragette movement instead is lost in extreme unnecessary close ups, shoddy indecipherable shaky cam, and a script only a mother could love.
Carey mulligan shines but this SJW film is better left in the kitchen.
