"Suffragette" is the type of movie every woman needs to see, lest we forget the debt of gratitude we owe to those who gone before us. It's a storyline to make you mad, as tales based in truth often are, telling the story of Maud (Carrie Mulligan) a working wife and mother whose life is forever changed when she is secretly recruited to join the U.
K.'s growing suffragette movement. The insight into treatment of the suffragettes by society, the law and even their own families is epitomised in her story and its message is made all the more touching by its final real-life images and credit crawl of countries who have given women the franchise.
