Review of Suffragette (2015) by Drew M — 06 Nov 2015
One of the truly emotional films of the year. Much praise goes to the cast who is very powerful particularly Helena Bonham Carter and Carey Mulligan who truly deserve accolade attention. Meryl Streep is only in the movie for under 5 minutes but does a terrific job as the leader of the suffragettes, but I'm not seeing any nominations for her this year.
However the film does drag a bit in the beginning but does grab your attention once the true plot begins. The men in this film are pictured as the bad guys. There are also rough scenes to watch. I see this film as a potential award attraction.
Overall I found the film fascinating. My grade=90%(A-).
