Review of Sudden Impact (1983) by Rick A — 19 May 2011
Sudden Impact is all cheese and noir, but works perfectly. Whilst it runs differently to the other Dirty Harrys by characterizing the hunter, it does so with a sense of cause and justice. Locke does a great job personifying herself as the "good guy" in a "bad guy" roll and Eastwood, in the directing and is simply too bad-ass to criticize.
There is a reason why Eastwood is a Hollywood legend, and this film is one of them.
