I think the nay-sayers were expecting something more than what was promised here - an over-the-top CGI funfest that borrows from HK film, anime, and mashes up a slew of genres. That's exactly what it delivered, and beautifully.

Its easy to sit behind the computer and criticize someone else's work - especially when you don't create anything near this scope. It was great fun, and definitely worth the couple of dollars you pay for the ride.
