Review of Suburbicon (2017) by Patricia C — 16 Apr 2018
It may have gone over the top, but I think the movie was actually very entertaining. Frankly I don't understand all the negative. There is lots of truth to a lot of the criticism, but what it came down to me was that it was entertaining with good performances by Matt Damon, Julianne Moore (two characters), and the supporting cast.
It had a problematic conclusion, or lack thereof, but overall I didn't think of it as a waste of time. Entertaining. I imagine the Coen brothers probably came in late to try to improve Clooney's original screenplay.
Just a guess.
