Review of Suburban Roulette (1968) by Jack G — 25 Oct 2008
When you have Anna Karina in your movie and you screw *that* up, it's bad. Only the actual climax of the game has any interest here; it's boring, metaphorical crap that I somehow didn't in spite of the strong direction to the piece.
Maybe if Fassbinder slowed down for a moment and took his time with the story or characters (then again, that's redundant since it is Fassbinder in the career he had) it'd be something richer.
Sadly, only a few moments stand out from what is otherwise a bunch of, well, nothing.
