Review of Suburban Commando (1991) by Stuart G — 13 Sep 2008
A great typical early 90's film. Hulk Hogan (One of the bigger wrestlers of the time) goes back to acting in a comedy and in this film it works pretty well and with Christopher Lloyd as the everyman makes the film pretty funny.
Hogan is the archetypal far fetched intergalactic space hero similar to Flash Gordon only more cheesier.
Look out for other 90's wrestler cameos such as Undertaker and Brutus Beefcake in the film. Larry Miller plays the typical A-Hole boss and Shelley Duvall as the wife to Lloyd.
It's a great comedy although very dated, but one of Hogans best films that he has been in.
