What we have here is a story that could have been interesting to see unfold. What we get is a plot that is thin as a bag of potato chips somebody just sat on! Misery and tragedy is not a quality on its own.
Just about any director who masters the basics of filmmaking could have made this one. Seeing bad things happening in 3/4 of a film is not telling a story. Sometimes less is more, especially if you know how to grab hold of the audience.
Disappointing.
