Review of Submarine (2011) by David N — 01 Oct 2011
A buttoned up beauty of a film by Richard Ayoade, arms firmly by the side, running like a robot. 2 terrific plots compete for space, the leaning of a relationship for our protagonist Oliver Tate and the possible disintegration of his even firmly buttoned up parents with the arrival of psychic with a van Paddy Constantine.
Funny, warm and a bit of a cop out of an ending, very very Welsh - a hand job in a van, nice.
