Review of Sublime (2007) by Amanda E — 25 Jul 2007
This was an interesting movie, but it drug on at points and definitely wasn't as 'thriller' like as I expected. In fact, I think most of the fact I was slightly creeped out about it was more due to the fact that what happened to George in the movie very possibly is what it's like to have such a thing happen than anything the producers actually did.
That said, I did enjoy Cavanagh's performance and the idea of the movie...well, the idea that's on the surface anyhow. Supposedly George is supposed to be George W and others represent his fears, but I think George is too likable to be W that I couldn't really make myself make that connection.
..but the other ideas about fear and death and being trapped in between made it work.
