There are a number of things I enjoyed about Subconscious. Firstly I was intrigued by its mysterious story which centers around Fannis the film's protagonist. After losing his family in an accident he is plagued by menacing nightmares in which he is alone and lost in a deep dark forest. In the forest he is confronted by a strange religious shrine.

Although not shown Fannis explains he has had some bizarre encounters with mysterious women he meets on the internet. He decides to meet with another young woman but this time he plans on recording her in hopes that in some way she will help him uncover the mysterious nature of his dreams.

Another aspect of this film I enjoyed was the atmosphere. I couldn't help but feel uneasy throughout Fannis' quest for answers. The film has an extremely creepy mood which I enjoyed very much. I found the subtle music to be extremely effective as well.

The main actors do a very good job. You can really feel the tension between the two as they get to know one another.

What I loved most about this film is that it scared the hell out of me! I jumped ( and maybe yelled) quite a bit. I also enjoyed how much of a mind bender this film is. It's rare to come across mentally engaging horror films these days. I cannot recommend this film enough if you are a horror fan you really need to see this!
