Review of Student Bodies (1981) by Jason D — 19 Jun 2008
Student Bodies is declared as the world's first Horror Comedy movie. Thankfully, the horror comedy film has progressed over the years, because this film is ridiculous. A slasher is on the loose and killing any students who dare to have sex.
All of the cliches are followed in this with some over the top slapstick humor (think Kentucky Fried Movie or Amazon Women on the Moon type humor, but not executed as well). There are a few funny moments but most of the jokes fall flat or are severely dated.
The janitor beanpole guy is just downright creepy with his long as orangutan arms (he is credited as "The Stick"). Anyways, decent 80's flick that is a bit too much of the bizarre and silly variety.
Richard Belzer plays the Breather killer (in terms of narration, not sure about actual stunts), but he is credited as Richard Brando. That was amusing. Silly film though.
