Review of Stuck in Love (2013) by Saranade — 14 Jun 2017
This movie might not be for everybody, I realize, but it reminded me of my parents' divorce and the struggles that each of us has gone through in the process. It did an excellent job of touching my heart and bringing to life the feelings and turmoil we experienced, which also made it a very hard movie to watch.
The characters seemed realistic and the story believable, with the exception of the ending. The ending might anger some of you non-cliche people out there, but I just found it heart-wrenching. It seems appropriate that a film about writers is allowed to write its own pretend happy ending when often times it doesn't happen that way.
That was perhaps the most bitter part of all.
