Review of Stuck in Love (2013) by Jonathan B — 19 May 2013
Called Stuck in Love in the US this dysfunctional family drama was quite moving and really dealt with the realities and complexities of relationships. Greg Kinnear usually always good plays a famous writer father of two kids, his loose living daughter (Lily Collins) who is a writer of a new book thats published frowns upon relationships mainly because she sees things from her fathers perspective after his wife (Jennifer Connelly) left him he believes she is going to comeback and stalks her in the meantime and has lost his passion for writing.
To combat this he has sexual encounters with his neighbour (Kristen Bell). His son who is in high school also wants to be a writer falls for a damaged girl who hes been in love with for a long time. This film doesnt pull no punches with its frank look at sex and the realities of relationships it was quite refreshing actually to see this kind of film.
In a word moving story which says it like it is!
