What's amazing about this film is how fresh it remains 30 years after it was made. Great to see Bruno S. in the lead, too, since I haven't seen him since the Enigma of Kaspar Hauser. (I adore the fact that Herzog uses so many non-actors in his films; it brings an authenticity to them that's missing in most of the junk Hollywood puts out these days.
