Review of Stronger (2017) by Torion O — 21 Sep 2017
It's the simplicity of the common man experiencing a traumatic event and wanting nothing more than to go back to his regular life that connects. Jake Gyllenhaal's performance is so good, and it's not so much his overcoming/acceptance of losing his legs but the trials/demons he faces coping with it as well as all the attention along the way.
Not a comfortable movie to sit through (in a good way), and very well done.
