Review of Strictly Ballroom (1992) by Ryan K — 24 Dec 2012
It's got a lot of heart. It's got great choreography. But for a film that describes itself as a "comedy", the jokes are pretty obvious and painful to bear. Hard to fault a film so fun, though, especially when it's a low-budget indie from Australia.
Luhrmann should get back to making films like this, rather than schlock like Moulin Rouge.
