Review of Streets of Fire (1984) by Steve A — 11 Mar 2008
Opens with one of the greatest music-video montage numbers ever commited to celluloid and mostly manages to sustain its frantic, violent, highly-unique pacing throughout its runtime. Diane Lane is sex-on-toast, Michael Pare goes for broke and Willem Dafoe has never been better (even if he looks ridiculous in those waders!).
Rick Moranis proves he is neither romantic interest, tough guy or leading man material, but still manages a decent performance. One of the greatest films of the 80s.
