Review of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) by Andrew C — 16 Aug 2009
So bad I'm actually fascinated by it. Whenever I see good actors (Neal McDonough, Michael Clarke Duncan, and to some extent Kristin Kreuk) in a bad movie I'm always curious as to what choices they make to keep things interesting. But what's even better is seeing a bad actor, in a bad role, in a bad movie and to just gape at it in total astonishment. I'm talking about Chris Klein reaching "holy crap" levels of bad that left me sore from laughing my ass off every time he entered the screen. It is truly a sight to behold.
Other highlights: The choreography is actually surprisingly good. Plus, how bad is the bad guy? He's so bad he rips his unbord child straight from the mothers womb with his bare hands. I'm pretty sure theres a drinking game based around how many "evil" scenes this character gets.
