Review of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) by Salah N — 19 Aug 2009
The sad thing is that director is probably and by far the only real martial artist in this movie... Because it does take some serious cinematographic kung fu to change camera angles every half second or so in an ever lasting struggle to make Kreuk look credible in a fight.
It almost works too, if it wasn't such a lost cause to start with... but he did make the movie somewhat watchable instead of just horrible. That is worth a star, and the second is because of the pure humoristic value of the "Spinning Bird Kick" scene at the bar.
.. They really thought they could pull that off.
