Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Maxime R — 26 Sep 2009
Textbook story of locals having a wee bit fun with cityfolk and things escalate from sexual harrasment and pet torture to rape and murder. Violence in the movie is shown as explosive and ugly. Dustin Hoffman did a good job as did Susan George.
Still find it hard to see this movie being banned in some countries but then again we live quite a different times now.
