Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Martin J — 29 Jan 2010
Director Sam Peckinpah controversial film about a young mathematician, Dustin Hoffman in superbly realized performance who buys a house on the coast of England in a town where his sexy and teasing wife, well played by Susan George grew up, she is a come-on to the men in town, after she has been raped, the gruesome violence begins and Hoffman is forced to act leading the way to a potent and powerfully charged ending where Hoffman starts to enjoy the violence he is committing against his tormentors.
Highly Recommended.
